We had the opportunity to attend the Flytrap Frolic this year in Wilmington, NC! It is a fundraiser hosted by the Coastal Land Trust, an amazing organization that works to conserve our beautiful Carolina coastline through education and stewardship. It is a free event that is great for the whole family featuring arts/crafts, face painting, games and guides that can answer all your burning carnivorous questions. How to divide and repot Sarracenia

I know that repotting can be a bit daunting but there really is no need to fear! Generally speaking the best time to repot temperate species (which includes all sarracenia) is at the tail end of winter/ beginning of spring. This way the plant is still dormant, easier to work with and you aren't disrupting its growing season.  I have this overgrown Sarracenia purpurea that I have been wanting to divide for a while now so I though this would make a good subject to show beginners how to divide a clumpy pitcher plant. New Inventory!

This growing season has been excellent so far! We now have more room since relocating our operation to a much bigger facility. So much more room that we have started to add more products to our inventory. Right now we are focussing on sundews simply because they are AWESOME! I just added D serpens which is a member of the indica complex.
