LG Sarracenia rosea 'Fat Chance', live carnivorous pitcher plant, potted, WYSIWYG

$26.00

This is a beautiful cultivar if S rosea. It is prized for its bulbous pitchers that grow relatively tall and erect. The hood is veined with frilled margins making it quite attractive. The pitcher is thick with small hairs covering most of the plant with a larger concentration on the interior of the hood. Their color tends to be dark purple with maturity while the newer pitchers are greeninsh with nice veining. They do best in bog environments with quite a bit of sun. They do best in warmer climates and are found naturally along the Gulf Coast from Florida to Mississippi.

You will receive the exact plant in the photos (taken 11/2). It is currently in a 6" pot with a long fiber sphagnum top dressing. It will be shipped potted.

An alternative name for this plant is Sarracenia purpurea subsp. venosa var. burkii
